New Puppy

We met Caroline when our Bernedoodle was a puppy and we went for puppy training. I have had dogs growing up and one of my own before this puppy but I was more familiar with training that was based on 'correcting the dog's behaviour'. Caroline's method is about 'rewarding' your dog for listening and learning. It was such a positive experience - for our puppy and for us. Our dog REALLY wanted to learn because she loved the positive reinforcement and this method felt so much better for me because we were rewarding her and not 'correcting'. We worked with Caroline again a couple of years later to work on 'greeting and door manners' and a couple of other things and again, Caroline had such informative and helpful suggestions (and our dog still loves her!) - now it's up to us to keep on working on the skills! I highly recommend Caroline for any dog training needs!

Simply the best! Caroline has been a life-saver. She taught, trained and advised me through the first 6 months of "Puppy-hood" with my yellow Lab, Maya. We started online by prepping my home (and my brain) for Maya's arrival and ended 4 months later by learning tricks on walks surrounded by other dogs. In my opinion, a great trainer must not only be good with dogs but also with us humans. Caroline spoke both languages fluently. Besides that, she was caring, fun and incredibly skilled. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - but book her soon! She is in great demand.

Caroline is amazing, even virtually! We did a 6-week puppy class and were pleasantly surprised by how much our puppy learned from the comfort of home. She made the class engaging and enjoyable, and the training and homework were effective and fun! Raising Rover is the first place I suggest to anyone that comments on Louis' skills or wonders where to start with their new pup. Thank you Caroline!

Hands down the BEST TRAINER in Toronto and I would debate Canada to the World. We hired Caroline to help us a few weeks before we got our puppy Golden Retriever; Truffle. She came highly recommended by basically everyone we asked and I know why!!! She’s incredible!!! 💫

 We got our puppy at the beginning of the pandemic so it was all virtual training and it was truly incredible. Hiring Caroline before we got our puppy was a MUST, I didn’t even know you should do. She helped us get all the right things for the house (crate, gates, cleaning tools, etc) to the toys to the method of bringing our puppy home and earning our trust (specific music in the car, a toy from truffles mom...).

 Caroline would give us activities to do each week... without question we did what she said. Sent her lots of video to cirque which she did and it helped a ton. It was amazing to see each activity grow into what she was actually getting us to do which was, sit, leave-it, down..... we had no idea what she was doing at the time but it worked extremely well. We learned with Truffle in baby steps which is why it’s so successful. But also Caroline is simply put... amazing with dogs. She’s a dog whisperer.

 We are blessed to have a puppy born with a beautiful disposition but let me tell you, she has rascal in her. Caroline allowed that rascal to come out with still making her become a beautifully behaved dog. It’s very clear to whom ever is around Truffle that she has had top notch training.

 To say I recommend her is an understatement. You need to hire Caroline and I recommend you get her before your new puppy comes home. Not only is she amazing in her own right but seeing her with the puppies is so heartwarming and wonderful. Thank you Caroline for helping Truffle grow into the mature little teenager she is today. She still digs up the garden but oh well she’s allowed one vice. Truffle says thank you too and she misses and loves you.

I have learned a ton and Charley and I have benefited immeasurably! You are probably used to hearing this but I can’t imagine a better teacher or a better program. Such support and such wisdom as you give and such additional resources are all outstanding! I feel fortunate to have been part of this program – thank you so much.

Friends all over Toronto recommended Caroline when I brought my first ever puppy Ferris Bueller into my life. Now I know why -- she is professional, flexible in her approach depending upon the needs of the human and the dog, and has been very patient, understanding and supportive of me as I learn how to train and care for my new sidekick. Needless to say, I am now one of those happy people recommending Caroline to others in need of a dog trainer!

We recently brought our new little puppy Sadie Rose into our home. As we have done with our last two dogs, we called Caroline for assistance. Caroline’s kindness and expertise is second to none. She managed to make the transition to “older brother” for our eight year dog Ollie as smooth as we could have hoped for. Our Sadie thrived during our Puppy Primer classes and the subsequent five classes we chose to have. Sadie and Ollie were both overjoyed every time Caroline came to our home and were eager and willing to please. Caroline gave us the tools we need to give our babies the happiest of lives and we are grateful. I would highly recommend Raising Rover!!!

I truly don't know what I would have done without Caroline's puppy head start program. Caroline is so well educated and is an absolutely amazing teacher (for puppies and also for humans)!! Her puppy program was engaging, easy to follow, fun, and totally manageable in terms of time . She taught me that even 5 minutes of training everyday can go such a long way. I highly recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a puppy/dog trainer.

I am so delighted that I took advantage of Raising Rover's online puppy class! My dog is now 18 months old and I continue to build on the foundations of this class. Caroline is a great teacher - she builds confidence and has great solutions at every turn. The online class was particularly helpful as we got to do the class as a family and in the comfort of our home - the distractions of others dogs was gone.

We were glad to have the opportunity to work with Caroline again. Caroline helped us with our two Labrador puppies in 2006 and 2007.
 We adopted a new labrador puppy in the middle of 2023. It was only then that we realized we’d forgotten all of our puppy raising skills.
 Our puppy immediately responded to Caroline‘s communication skills. Seemingly simple commands that we could not master became simple when Caroline explained how to do it. The dog understood it, and more importantly, we gained a skill.
 With Caroline‘s guidance, our home became a calmer space, and our puppy has settled in beautifully.
 Working with Caroline was fun. On occasion, we would be stressed about a certain behavior, Caroline would say no problem and fix it in an instant.

We just completed our virtual puppy class with Caroline and all I can say is that it was one of the best things we have done for our puppy Hudson.During this incredibly challenging time, Caroline has managed to create a fabulous online class. She sent us the weekly schedule ahead of time so we knew what to expect each class. She was on time every class and engaged each and every puppy enrolled.
 It was so fun to see all the pups online and every class was jam packed with useful information for training our new puppy.
 Caroline was so patient, and she truly understands everything about puppyhood and manages to pass all of that knowledge on in an interesting, engaging format.

She worked with our family and new Labrador puppy this spring helping us prepare for the arrival of our puppy and for the last 2 months has worked with us on dog training.
